Local Rules

Local Rules

1. OUT OF BOUNDS. Rule 27-1 applies.
a) In or over boundary fences, hedges, walls and ditches.
b) Over white posts where indicated.
c) On car park or on or over path fronting the clubhouse and Professional shop

.2. WATER HAZARDS. Rule 26-1 applies.
All areas indicated by yellow posts.

3. LATERAL WATER HAZARDS.
Rule 26-1 applies.All areas indicated by red posts.

4. PROTECTION OF YOUNG TREES.
Rule 24-2b applies.Young trees identified by yellow bands.If the tree interferes with a player's stance or the area of his intended swing, the ball must be lifted without penalty and dropped in accorance with the procedure prescribed in Rule 24-2b.

5. FIXED SPRINKLER HEADS.
Rule 24-2 applies. All fixed sprinkler heads are immovable obstructions and relief from interference by them may be obtained under Rule 24-2. In addition, if such an obstruction on or within two club lenghts of the putting green of the hole being played, intervenes on the line of play between the ball and the hole, the player may obtain relief as follows: - If the ball lies off the putting green but not in a hazard and is within two club lenghts of the intervening obstruction, it may be lifted, cleaned and dropped at the point nearest to where the ball lay, which is: -a) not nearer the holeb) avoids such intervention andc) is not a hazard or on a putting green.

6. IMMOVABLE OBSRUCTIONS
All paths, roads, manhole covers, the brick shed at the rear of the 2nd green, the marker post at the rear of the 13th green are immovable obstructions. Rule 24-2 applies.

7. STONES IN BUNKERS.
Rule 24-1 applies.Stones in bunkers are movable obstructions.

8. PREFERRED LIES.
(When in operation)A ball lying on a closely-mown area through the green may be lifted without penalty and cleaned. Before lifting the ball the player must mark it's position. Having lifted the ball, he/she must place it on a spot within six inches of and not nearer the hole than where it originally lay, that is not in a hazard and not on a putting green.

PLAYERS MUST NOT RETRIEVE GOLF BALLS WHICH ARE OUT OF BOUNDS IN ADJOINING PROPERTIES.
